The Center for Arts & Wellbeing is the umbrella for the independent work, collaborations, and long-term initiatives of Dr. Anne Palmer. It exists to advance creative, research-informed approaches to navigating change—at individual, organizational, and systems levels.

Grounded in the belief that the arts are essential to individual and collective wellbeing, the Center integrates creativity and lived experience, informed by neuroarts research, to inform leadership and culture across sectors. Its work draws on artistic practice and human-centered design, with a deep commitment to accessibility, belonging, and inclusion.

Through the Center, Anne offers consulting, speaking, and creative programs designed to support organizations and communities as they navigate transition, growth, and cultural change. The Center also serves as a home for collaborative field-building efforts and partnerships that extend beyond any single project or institution.

Designed as a flexible and evolving platform, the Center for Arts & Wellbeing creates conditions for experimentation, shared learning, and thoughtful application. As the work continues to grow, it supports new programs, partnerships, and places dedicated to creativity, connection, and wellbeing.

Speaking & Engagements

Anne Palmer’s speaking work creates shared language for navigating change—drawing on lived experience, creative practice, and research-informed insight. Her talks support reflection and understanding around leadership, culture, and wellbeing, particularly in moments of transition.

Speaking is one expression of Anne’s broader consulting and collaborative practice and is most often situated within convenings or gatherings where thoughtfulness, listening, and meaning-making are central.

Signature Keynote

Rewriting the Score™: The Art of Growing with Change

Rewriting the Score™ is Anne’s primary keynote offering.

Grounded in her experience as a professional musician and bilateral cochlear implant recipient, the keynote traces how the loss and retraining of hearing became a framework for navigating change—individually and collectively.

Structured around five movements—Listening, Reimagining, Rehearsing, Reintegrating, and Becoming—the talk offers a shared language for understanding transition, attention, and adaptation. It invites audiences to engage change with clarity, creativity, and care, without rushing to resolution or oversimplifying complexity.

This keynote is well suited for conferences, retreats, academic settings, and cross-sector gatherings where reflection and shared perspective are valued.

Additional Conversations

In some contexts, Anne is invited to offer shorter talks or structured conversations that build on the themes of Rewriting the Score™, including:

  • Navigating change and transition

  • Creativity as a resource for wellbeing

  • Listening, perception, and attention

  • Neuroarts perspectives on leadership and culture

These engagements are shaped in conversation with hosts and typically complement an existing gathering rather than stand alone as a formal keynote.

Invite Anne to Speak

Consulting & Coaching

Anne’s consulting and coaching work supports people and organizations navigating change—particularly moments of transition, growth, or reorientation. Drawing on creative practice, neuroarts-informed perspectives, and lived experience, this work helps clients slow down, clarify what matters, and move forward with greater intention.

Whether working one-on-one or with organizations and teams, Anne approaches this work as relational, context-sensitive, and collaborative. Engagements are shaped by listening first, with care for the people, systems, and cultures involved.

Creative Neuroarts Workshops & Experiences

Anne also facilitates creative neuroarts workshops and experiences that invite participants to engage change through listening, movement, imagination, and shared creative practice. These workshops are designed to be accessible, welcoming, and adaptable, with attention to how people learn, connect, and participate differently.

Workshops are often developed in collaboration with arts organizations and community partners—particularly in local or place-based contexts and in mixed-ability or disability-affirming settings. This work reflects Anne’s commitment to inclusion, embodied learning, and creating environments where people with varied experiences and abilities can engage together meaningfully.

Each workshop is shaped in response to the people, purpose, and context involved, with care for how learning and connection unfold in real time.

Consulting & Advisory

Consulting engagements support organizations, initiatives, and leaders navigating complexity, change, or cultural shift. This work focuses on sense-making, alignment, and designing conditions that support leadership, culture, and wellbeing.

Consulting and advisory work may include:

  • Strategic thought partnership during periods of transition or uncertainty

  • Support for leaders or teams navigating role evolution or organizational change

  • Translation between research, creative practice, and real-world application

  • Designing processes or experiences that support attention, care, and connection

  • Reflection and integration at individual, team, or organizational levels

Engagements range from short-term advisory conversations to longer-term partnerships, depending on context and need.

Coaching for Individuals

Rewriting the Score Coaching™

Rewriting the Score Coaching™ is Anne’s primary one-on-one coaching offering.

This six-session coaching arc is designed for individuals navigating personal or professional transition. Grounded in the same five-movement framework that informs Anne’s speaking and consulting work, the coaching process supports deep listening, reflection, and intentional change over time.

Each session centers on one of the movements:

  • Listen – tuning into what is emerging

  • Reimagine – imagining new possibilities and directions

  • Rehearse – practicing intentional change

  • Reintegrate – allowing practice to settle and weave into identity and daily rhythm

  • Become – stepping into what’s next with greater clarity and intention

The coaching arc is spacious, reflective, and practical—supporting clients as they navigate change with clarity, creativity, and care, and allowing practice to settle into embodied, everyday life.

Coaching Is Especially Supportive For

  • Leaders and executives navigating transition

  • Creative professionals and educators

  • Individuals exploring reinvention or new direction

  • Deaf and hard-of-hearing creatives and leaders

  • Anyone experiencing a significant shift in identity, purpose, or life context

Coaching may also complement consulting engagements when focused one-on-one reflection supports deeper integration or sense-making.
